Role Summary

We are hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong hands-on capability in SolidWorks (mandatory), focused on Special Purpose Machines (SPM), industrial automation equipment, and machine assemblies. This role requires proven experience in sheet metal and weldments, and the ability to take ownership of design from concept to manufacturing drawings and shop-floor support.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end mechanical design for automation/SPM systems: concept, 3D modeling, detailing, and release.
  • Create and manage 3D assemblies, sub-assemblies, and part models using SolidWorks.
  • Prepare accurate 2D manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks drawings / AutoCAD, including:
    • Weldment drawings, cut lists, and fabrication-ready details
    • Sheet metal flat patterns, bend notes, and forming details
    • Tolerances, fits, and GD&T basics (as required)
  • Generate and maintain BOMs, design documentation, and revision control (ECR/ECN).
  • Coordinate with fabrication, assembly, and commissioning teams to ensure buildability, resolve issues, and implement changes quickly.
  • Support procurement with technical clarifications, vendor drawing approvals, and part specifications.
  • Participate in design reviews, standardization, and continuous improvement of machine modules.

Preferred Skills:

  • Upto 15 years of mechanical design experience in Automation / SPM / machinery equipment.
  • SolidWorks – mandatory (production-level proficiency).
  • Sheet Metal & Weldments modules – mandatory.
  • Strong 2D detailing capability (SolidWorks drawings and/or AutoCAD).
  • Proven ability to create manufacturing-ready drawings for fabrication and machining.
  • Strong understanding of fabrication processes: welding, sheet metal fabrication, machining, assembly.
  • Working knowledge of tolerances, fits, and drawing standards.


Recommended Skills: (Not required)

  • Autodesk Inventor (plus).
  • Experience with automation elements: pneumatics, sensors, guarding, conveyors, fixtures/end-effectors.
  • Experience supporting build/commissioning teams during trials and site installation.


Experience Levels:

  • Entry (0–5 yrs): Junior Engineer – Supports Execution & Detailing Focus, 
  • Mid (5–10 yrs): Project Ownership – Module Level
  • Senior (10+ yrs): System Architect – Full Project Ownership

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Automation Control Engineer located in Hyderabad. The Automation Control Engineer will be responsible for design, development, and commissioning of automation systems, integrating PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks for advanced manufacturing projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver turnkey solutions that meet client requirements and global standards. Daily tasks include troubleshooting, process control, and electrical engineering. The engineer will work on robotic systems and control systems design, ensuring the efficiency and reliability of automated processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, program, and troubleshoot PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, Schneider).
  • Design and implement HMI/SCADA systems (WinCC, FactoryTalk, Ignition).
  • Integrate industrial networks (Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, EtherCAT, CANopen).
  • Create and review electrical schematics, panel layouts, and documentation.
  • Support system commissioning, FAT/SAT, and on-site installation.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, design, and project teams for seamless integration.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and best engineering practices.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and operator training.


Required Qualifications:

  • B.E/B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or Automation (M.Tech/diploma preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with major PLC brands and programming languages (Ladder Logic, FBD, Structured Text, SFC).
  • Strong understanding of robotics, motion control, VFDs, and industrial automation.
  • Experience with documentation, version control, and structured code.
  • Good communication, troubleshooting, and teamwork skills.


Experience Levels:

  • Entry (0–2 yrs): Basic programming, panel wiring.
  • Mid (3–6 yrs): Full PLC development, commissioning, troubleshooting.
  • Senior (7+ yrs): System design, safety PLC, team management, robotics integration.


Preferred Certifications:

  • Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi, ISA, TÜV FSE, CAP.


Soft Skills:

  • Analytical thinking, problem-solving, ability to work under pressure, leadership, and process knowledge.
